An Evening of Balinese Performance
including wayang shadow puppetry

This coming Friday night, the Institute of Sacred Music hosts “An Evening of Balinese Performance” with Special Guest  I Nyoman Sedana, Professor at Institut Seni Indonesia (Indonesian Institute of the Arts) in Denpasar, Bali, and his family of traditional Balinese dancers.  The evening will include Balinese music and dance, traditional wayang shadow puppetry, martial dances, dances depicting birds and telling stories drawn from traditional myth, religion, morality, and ritual forms.


The event is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
