Harvard University’s Asia Center consistently provides high quality academic events on a variety of topics related to Asia, including Indonesia and Southeast Asia in addition to China, Japan, and South Asia. Elsewhere in the academic arena, the Kennedy School of Government and the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation hosts the Indonesia Program, designed to promote “research, education, and capacity building in support of democratic governance and institutional development in Indonesia.”

The Harvard College student community participates in academic and cultural activities relating to Southeast Asia year-round.  The Harvard College in Asia Program hosts an annual conference held at Harvard and at several leading institutions throughout Asia, to bring students together from around the world.
