Saung Budaya Celebrates 10 Years

0_0_0_0_537_761_csupload_68743672Founded by Amalia Suryani in 2005, the Saung Budaya dance group based in New York City performs traditional dances and music from a variety of indigenous Indonesian cultures, from Aceh and West Sumatra, to Jakarta, Bali, and Kalimantan.  This fall, Saung Budaya celebrates 10 years of cultural performances with a special performance “GONG: Spirits of the Archipelago” at the Riverside Theater in New York September 9 and 10.
