DESK Event: Annual Soup Night, April 6

March 18, 2014 | News

desk_logo_blueThe Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen will host its Annual “Soup Night” on Sunday April 6, 2014, to both recognize volunteers and to benefit the community they serve. The event will be held at the Yale Graduate Club, 155 Elm Street, beginning at 4pm. Tickets are $20 at the door. DESK is also currently one of the local charities supported by Blue State Coffee. While construction on the Parish House continues, DESK service is still going strong, serving dinner to many hundreds of people each week.

We volunteer on a regular basis to serve dinner to the DESK community, at the Parish House of the Center Church on the Green, 311 Temple Street.  The time commitment is roughly 1 hour, including dinner service and clean-up.  If you would like to join us to volunteer in serving the community, please let us know.
