Invitations & Commendations
Since the spring of 2004, Bapak Waleed and the ISF have recieved several personal invitations to teach, perform, and lead events both in the New Haven community and by several different departments of Yale University, including the Southeast Asia Studies Council, the Yale School of Drama, the Yale International Center, the Yale Peabody Museum and the Yale School of Medicine SMDEP. In addition, Bapak has recieved the Key to the City of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia, and a commendation from the Mayor of New Haven. The ISF as a group has also been awarded an Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen. Thumbnails of these invitation letters and commendations are below.
